WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Old and New Testament Scriptures are the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and are, therefore, the final authority for faith and life.

We believe in one triune God, internally existing in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-each co-enternal in being. co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer. God uniquely uses evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip believers in the church to do the work of the ministry.

We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, are forgivable.

We believe that once a person is saved, he is kept by God's power and remains secure in Christ forever.

STORY

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: Love God. Love His People. Watch Him Work.

Our story began in 2014 when God placed a vision on the heart of our pastor, Stuart Perryman, to establish a church where people could encounter God's presence, experience His love, and grow in their relationship with Him. On Resurrection Sunday in April 2014, Agape Christian Church held its very first worship service at the Live Oak movie theater in San Antonio, Texas. What started in a movie theater quickly became a growing family of believers. During our first year, we established small groups and gathered in homes for Bible study, building a foundation rooted in faith, fellowship, and genuine relationships.

As God continued to grow our church family, we soon outgrew the theater and took another step of faith. We began leasing a former nightclub, transforming an unexpected space into a place of worship. It was another reminder that God can take ordinary places and use them for extraordinary purposes.

In 2018, we broke ground on what would become our current church home on Judson Road. On December 31, 2019, we celebrated our first worship service in our new sanctuary, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Just months later, the world faced the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we could no longer gather in person, our mission never changed. We embraced online worship, remained connected through faith, and continued sharing the love of Christ until we could safely come together again.

Today, Agape Christian Church continues to be a place where lives are transformed, families are strengthened, and people from all walks of life can experience the love of God. Our story is still being written. We are grateful for where God has brought us, excited about where He is leading us, and confident that the best is yet to come.

MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Stuart Perryman is a living testimony of the transforming power of God's grace and mercy. Once an ex-heathen, he now walks boldly in the calling God has placed upon his life, grateful for the redemption, restoration, and unwavering love of Jesus Christ.

He is the devoted husband of his beloved wife, Bridgette Perryman, whom he loves and cherishes dearly. Together, they share the blessing of a beautiful family. He is the proud father of three wonderful daughters: Patrice (Phil), Alexandria, and Sydney (Tavon). Above all, Pastor Perryman recognizes that his life, family, and ministry are a testament to God's faithfulness and unmerited favor.
